Last updated: April 17, 2026

1. Who We Are

BassCalendar.com (the "Site") is owned and operated by Tournament Angler Supply, Inc., a New York corporation with principal offices in Monroe County, New York ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Site, how we use it, and what choices you have.

If you have questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@basscalendar.com.

2. Information We Collect

Automatic (everyone who visits)

Our Site uses Google Analytics to understand traffic patterns. Google Analytics automatically collects:

  • Your IP address (approximate location only, not precise)
  • Browser type, operating system, and device type
  • Pages you visit and how long you spend on each
  • The referring website or search query that brought you to us

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels for advertising purposes. We do not serve personalized ads on the Site.

Voluntary (only if you choose)

The Site has a feedback button that lets you submit comments or suggest new tournaments to add to the calendar. If you use these forms, we collect:

  • Your name (if you choose to provide it)
  • Your email address (if you choose to provide it)
  • The comment, event details, or other information you submit

Providing your name and email is optional. If you leave them blank, we will not have a way to follow up with you.

3. How We Use the Information

  • Analytics data — to understand which pages and states are most popular, measure site performance, and improve the Site.
  • Feedback and event submissions — to review and potentially add the events you submit to our calendar, follow up with you if we need clarification, and improve the Site based on your comments.
  • Operational needs — detecting fraud, preventing abuse, and securing the Site.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services We Use

To operate the Site, we use the following third-party service providers. Each has its own privacy practices; we link to theirs below.

Our Site also contains links to third-party websites (Facebook, event host sites, sponsor sites, fishing guides, boat dealers, etc.). When you click those links, you leave our Site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party sites.

5. Cookies

The Site uses the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential cookies — used by Netlify to deliver the Site reliably.
  • Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics (typically _ga, _gid, _gat) to measure traffic.

We do not use advertising cookies, personalization cookies, or cross-site tracking pixels.

How to opt out of Google Analytics: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or enable "Do Not Track" / tracking-protection features in your browser.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:

  • Access — ask us what information we have about you.
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information.
  • Deletion — ask us to delete information we hold about you.
  • Opt out of analytics — use the opt-out tools above.

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and the right to request deletion. We do not sell personal information, so a "Do Not Sell" request is not necessary.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@basscalendar.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Data Retention

  • Analytics data — retained for 26 months by default in Google Analytics, then automatically deleted.
  • Feedback and event-submission data — retained only for as long as needed to process the submission and follow up, typically no more than 2 years.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect, including HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted to and from the Site. However, no system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes, we will post a notice on the Site for a reasonable period before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
